Education
I graduated university with a psychology degree from UC Davis and went on to work at a pharm tech company that led me to pursue a graduate degree in Genetics/Chemical Biology at Columbia University. I never fully related to genetics as a profession and decided to explore the realm of possibilities that drew me to physical therapy and eventually Cal State Long Beach Physical Therapy.
Career
At first I did not think physical therapy was right for me because the education and training required were intense and challenging, but I truly am appreciative for it because it has brought me more fulfillment than any other profession could have. Since graduating from Cal State Long Beach, I started practicing physical therapy in San Francisco in 2009. After challenging rotations in acute/neuro rehab and outpatient physical therapy, I knew I wanted to focus on outpatient sports physical therapy. After 8 years of being a physical therapist, I have learned to incorporate my knowledge of genetics, and my background in psychology and neurobiology to create a unique approach to physical therapy.
